About Us

Our Mission

To give orphans and poor children of Africa the opportunity to receive quality education and other basic needs so that they may become productive members of their community and help to reduce or elminate the cycle of poverty in which they live.

Our History

When Sister Anisia Muthoni arrived at Saint Anthony of Padua Parish in Endicott, New York in 1999, it was at the invitation of Pastor Clarence F. Rumble.  Sister Anisia was warmly welcomed by the parish family and immediately began a Ministry of visiting the  homebound, hospitalized and nursing home residents.  As Sister Anisia devoutly served in her Pastoral Care assignment, her heart often returned to the vulnerable children of her native land, Kenya.

With the help of Father Clarence and the boundless energy of many parishioners, a bond was formed between Saint Anthony’s Parish and the vulnerable children of Kenya.  Fundraising, pen pal letters and supplies mailed to Kenya were part of the initial outreach efforts that would eventually lead to the idea of building a Boarding School.  In addition, several members of the church traveled to Kenya to become familiar with the profound needs of the children.

With the generous and continued support of our donors, we have made great progress in building our school.
Our classroom building, kitchen/dining hall, restrooms, two dormitories, library and labs have been completed. We still need to complete a mission house and infirmary, as well as finish to furnish all buildings.
